New Rooms and Wellness Upgrades: the De Russie Spa

Located at Via del Babuino 9, the hotel now features 120 redesigned guestrooms, including 34 suites. Among them is the Nijinsky Suite, offering 210 m² of interior space and a 240 m² terrace with views of Villa Borghese and the rooftops of Rome.

The renewed spa includes five treatment rooms (two for couples), a salt-water hydro-pool, sauna, steam room, and a gym with Technogym equipment. Treatments feature Irene Forte Skincare, SkinCeuticals, and Swiss Perfection products. Advanced technology such as the Lyma Laser Pro, micro-current/LED/radio-frequency platforms, and express oxygen therapy has been introduced.

Additionally, the spa now houses the Forte Vita Bar, a new beauty space. It offers express services like 20-minute laser facials, five-minute oxygen boosts, nail care, and hair treatments—perfect for guests seeking quick yet effective options.

Giardino Segreto and Bar Stravinskij Rome

The terraced garden, originally designed by Giuseppe Valadier, has undergone a four-year restoration. This project restored its 19th-century layout and added energy-efficient lighting and seasonal planting. French artist Jean Cocteau once called it “paradise on earth” after a 1917 visit.

At garden level, Bar Stravinskij now showcases a pergola inspired by Alberto Giacometti. The drinks menu was created by Salvatore Calabrese, in collaboration with bar manager Mattia Capezzuoli.

A Storied Landmark

Originally designed in the early 19th century by architect Giuseppe Valadier, the building served multiple purposes over time. It officially reopened as Hotel de Russie under Sir Rocco Forte in April 2000.
